Paul D. Friedman is a nationally recognized speaker and consultant in the area of medical, legal and business ethics. He is an Adjunct Professor at Midwestern University and the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine where he instructs current healthcare providers and students.
Paul Friedman has been licensed to practice law since 1989 and has been a member of the law firm of O’Steen & Harrison, PLC, since its formation in 2005. Prior to that time, he was a partner with the predecessor firm, Van O’Steen and Partners, since 1996. He served as the Special Assistant to the Attorney General for the State of Arizona in the national case against the tobacco industry.
He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is Certified by the State Bar of Arizona Board of Legal Specialization in the area of Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation.
Dr. Friedman is licensed to practice law in Arizona, Colorado (inactive) and the District of Columbia (inactive). Additionally, he is licensed in the District Court of Arizona, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court.
Additionally, Paul Friedman has been licensed since 1986 as a real estate salesperson in the State of Arizona and is currently the designated real estate broker with Attorneys Realty, LLC.
Dr. Friedman graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 (Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction), where he was admitted to the academic honorary society Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from California Western School of Law in 1989 (Juris Doctorate Cum Laude). He served as an editor of the California Western Law Review-International Law Journal and was the chief editor of the California Western Directory. He received a master’s degree in bioethics in 2004 (Master of Arts in Bioethics), where he graduated with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Friedman received his doctorate in philosophy (Ph.D. Magna Cum Laude) in 2006 in the area of comparative ethics with the copyrighted dissertation entitled “Morality and Ethics: An Analysis of Medical, Legal and Business Ethics from a Casuist Perspective”.
